Is it possible to run control algorithms on the Raspberry Pi 2 and at the same time run a MySQL server on it? Is there enough computing power?
Offline
Yes, the Raspberry Pi 2 can run the control algorithms and at the same time act as a MySQL server where you can archive data and/or read parameters from. The necessary computing power naturally depends on the complexity of control algorithms and number of signals to store in the database. I do not know your typical project but so far we were always impressed (and even surprised) by the complexity of tasks the Raspberry Pi 2 can handle.
