Hi,
I am not able to browse tags from the REX HMI configuration dialog in Inkscape. It seems to try and connect, but is not able to. I have specified the ip address in the ws_ip field on the options tab as follows: 10.0.0.64/rex. After that I am also unable to connect using RexDraw or RexView. RexView gives the following error:
Connecting to rex://admin@10.0.0.64:43981/ ... FAILED
Error: Network communication failure (code - 400)
After this I must muse reboot the device and the compile & download the Rex project to be able to connect via RexDraw/View.
I am using Rex v2.50.1.7567
Thanks in advance !

Since that post I realized that the new HMI tool is called the RexHMI designer.
Please note that I did have to enter the port (10.0.0.64:8008) in the RexHMI [target url] field to avoid an authentication error and browse tags.
Please disregard the above post.

After configuring aliases and then specifying those aliases as [Value] sources for display objects, I am seeing connection errors when opening the index.html on my desktop computer.
The errors say "Connecting to ws://10.0.0.64:8008 failed".
Also, I attempted to download the index.html using RexView and received an error stating that the file was not in the right format. What is the new way to place the html file on the target?
Thanks in advance !

Hi Chand,
I'm sorry to hear you are struggling with the HMI. You have been probably following an outdated tutorial. Since version 2.50.1 the HMI is included using the HMI block in project main file. It is natively included in the project and it is transferred to the target device along with your algorithm. This example project includes HMI so you can use it as a starting point.
And yes, the target_url should include port number of the internal webserver of RexCore, which is 8008 by default.
Best regards,
Jaroslav
