Exit routine in REXLANG

When exactly does the "exit(void)" routine in the REXLANG function block run?

The exit() routine is executed when RexCore is correctly terminated (e.g. at system shutdown) and also everytime when a new project is downloaded (prior to switching the original and the new executive).
